Stuffed Pizza Waffles

Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray

4 cups waffle batter (see this receipes RED VELVET CAKE WAFFLES)

4 slices mozzarella

2 large egg whites

2/3 cup cooked crumbled Italian sausage

1/3 cup marinara sauce

1/3 cup pepperoni slices

1/3 cup sliced roasted red capsicum

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 95°C. Place wire rack over large baking tray and place tray in oven.

Step 2

Preheat the Stuffed Waffle Maker.

Step 3

Lightly spray lower and upper plates with cooking spray. Pour 1/2 cup batter into lower plate.Top with 1 slice cheese, 1 tbs marinara, 1/4 of the sausage, pepperoni, and capsicum. Top with 1/3 cup batter.

Step 4

Close lid and cook for 8 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Carefully remove waffle and transfer to oven to keep warm while making remaining waffles.
